was started by Sara Baird in the spring of 2000 upon
the birth of her first son. Sara had a strong desire to stay
home with him and sewing proved to be a way for her to stay
home and yet help with the family finances. Over the years it
has proved to be her “therapy”! Now a mom of 3, Sara's
sewing business is still proving to be a way for her to stay
home with her children and enjoy seeing them grow up. All
of her kids have enjoyed their silkies over the years and to
this day, even the oldest won’t go to sleep without it!
